I am Osas from Edo, NigeriaI am looking forward to gain insight on Digital age agriculture.

It’s not surprising that there are few empirical studies from the private sector. It is a highly competitive sector where growing the customer base is key to achieving profitability. Sharing proprietary information would help competitors.

56:04
This is great thanks. It does seem the data does look at different study populations. What % of the publications would you say looked at impact at the level of the market system actor (I.e. input retailers, trader), did you find less barriers when digital agriculture services were taking a business to business approach?

56:56
Sorry , the letter in the table are very small..can’t see

58:15
Xavier, all this information can be found on the Agriculture in the Digital Age website as well! Please visit https://agricultureinthedigitalage.org/

ok, thanks

regarding apps, some very innovative apps are localized and not for the multiple markets and audiences. It may be a working area

Hi panelists, we will shift to the panel shortly.

01:04:51
Thank you very much

01:07:05
Thanks for these great questions and joining today! I'll try to respond as we go along.

01:17:18
@Hamilton - great question. Very few studies looked at market actors; 92% were targeting small scale producers and not other actors. this is a significant gap!

01:19:47
Interesting thanks Jaron.

01:20:07
@Duncan: it is not surprising that we don't see more private sector data for the reasons that you mention, but it does create a real imbalance in how we understand what's working and what's not. For all: you seen good examples of private - public sector clearinghouses where data and knowledge is shared?

01:22:35
Check out GARDIAN - https://gardian.bigdata.cgiar.org. This allows you to find data an pubs across all CGIAR Centers, USAID, FCDO, The World Bank, the Govt of India's Open Data Portal, ISRIC soils data, and many other sources...

Absolutely Medha! A transformation of research ecosystems is needed. On Thursday, we will discuss our machine learning model just to be able to do these type of reports (that brings in a lot of ontologies and standards).

01:27:03
Great! Good to know about this, Jaron. Look forward to learning more.

01:32:16
